BCO Appreciation Days
More than 500 Landstar independent business capacity owners (or BCOs), their families and guests recently attended the first BCO Appreciation Days event of 2022, held at Graceland Exhibition Center in Memphis, Tennessee.
Attendees enjoyed two days filled with networking, corporate presentations and breakout educational sessions, a vendor and Landstar agency expo, food and friends. There was also plenty of prize giveaways and some Elvis-style entertainment!
Landstar President and CEO Jim Gattoni spoke about the company’s record-breaking success in 2021 and a panel of Landstar’s management participated in a Q&A session with attendees.
Landstar BCO Benevolence Fund
The event also helped raise $12,550 for Landstar’s BCO Benevolence Fund through activities like Bingo, 50/50 drawings, shirt and pin sales, and an auction of a Landstar quilt handmade by Paula McCoy, wife of BCO Mike McCoy, as well as personal donations made by attendees. The BCO Benevolence Fund provides financial assistance to qualified Landstar independent business capacity owners in hardship situations.
