For the 25th consecutive year, Landstar System, Inc., a worldwide, asset-light provider of integrated transportation management solutions, is a recipient of the National Defense Transportation Association’s (NDTA) Distinguished Service Award in recognition of the company’s “outstanding support to the programs of global logistics and transportation.”
The NDTA is a non-political, nonprofit organization comprised of 230 corporate members and
5,500 individual members. Each year during the organization’s Fall Meeting & Exposition, the NDTA presents a series of prestigious awards recognizing individual members, corporate members, chapters and military units that demonstrate outstanding accomplishments in transportation, logistics and passenger travel services.
“Landstar transports over 30,000 loads each year in support of national defense and security,” said Landstar Transportation Logistics Vice President of Government Transportation Services Michael Cashner. “We are very proud to receive this prestigious award again this year for supporting the most critical and challenging transportation requirements of the Department of Defense (DOD) and other federal agencies.”
Landstar, a member of the NDTA since 1992, is among the largest truckload carriers in the United States to provide transportation services to the DOD and is the largest U.S. carrier of highly sensitive and/or classified items.
